This is an unrated tournament and the rules are simple:
- You are not playing for checkmate -- the objective for either side is to simlply get your king to your opponent's back rank first.
- You must move your king to on the second move.
- If your opponent gets his king to your back rank first, you are obligated to resign.
- Accidental checkmates will earn you the collective ridicule of the other players in the tournament, while I suspect that you will actually advance as a result, you will advance without honour.
