Thats it folks !   Its all over as Rruotsal gets the draw vs Katon and overtakes Shmeeeee by half a point to take GOLD !  Shmeeeee gets silver and Katon bronze.  Greetings from the front line . . . Shmeeeee swelters at the top of the table - Gold is his if 3rd place Katon can overcome 2nd place Rruotsal.  Rru needs just half a point here to go on to 13 and a half and snatch the top prize right at the death.  Katon has taken the bronze medal, but that is as far as he can go now as this is the final game of the tourney.   Rruotsal is 2 pawns up with both Queens dead and Katon is in check - this could be Rruotsal's finest hour.   Stay tuned folks - this is quite rightly a thoughtful and slow moving game and both players are determined to win it.    Good luck to both . . . .Cheers, TZ.

Hi folks - well - results have gone the wrong way for the peloton which leaves the current top 3, Shmeeeee, Rruotsal and Katon to thrash out the medal places - good luck guys. 

Hi folks . . . latest from CTO #10 . . . Rruotsal barges Katon aside as he ploughs up the table to entrench himself in 2nd place with a total of 10 points - he has 4 games to go - can he turn this into a springboard to GOLD ?   The current leader Shmeeeee, on 13, will do his utmost to prevent this; He has a single game left, vs Tsk, and this is a MUST win game for him. There will also be a titanic bundle for Silver and Bronze - more news on these games as it comes in.   EXCITING, ISN'T IT !

 Hi folks . .  latest news from the CTO #10 front line . . .  Kingsknight is finally forced out of 3rd place by Rruotsal on tie-break difference; well played KK but no cigar this time.   Katon picks up win number 10 to galvanise his chances of a medal and stays in 2nd spot behind Shmeeeee who is on 12; both have 2 games left to complete.   Rruotsal and Tsk9653 both have 5 games to go and are definately in with a shout of a trophy.   All the other players chances are petering out now with just a handful of games left between them - the exception being LadyoftheKnight who is on 5.5 in 9th but has 7 games in hand . . . can she make the most of this and start the long haul up the table - or has she left it toooooo late ?  . . .WE SHALL SEE !

Hi folks . .  latest news from the front line - Rruotsal is the big mover today as he barges through the middle-order pack to claim 4th spot with 8 wins - just 1 behind Katon who pulls alongside Kingsknight on 9 , both of whom have 60 tie-break points.   Shmeeeee still heads the tourney on 12, with 3 games to go, 1 of them vs Rruotsal.   Tsk9653 is on 7.5 with 5 to go - 2 vs Shmeeeee and 2 vs Rruotsal.   Rruotsal and Ladyoftheknight have the most games left to complete - 7 each.  That completes the latest newsflash from CTO #10.   Good luck in the run-in folks.

Hi folks - CTO #10 latest news . . . Leader Shmeeeee drops a game but keeps top spot on 12 with only 3 losses.   The peloton still have not found the energy to knock Kingsknight out of second place.   Katon hovers in 3rd place on 8 and has 4 games left in which to make his mark on this tournament.   Tsk has won another game so moves up 1 place to 4th with 5 games remaining - 2 of these are vs top gun Shmeeeee.   Joint 5th are Dickydog and Krcarriere both on 6.5 + 40.75 tie-break points and with 2 games apiece to go.   Rruotsal slips down to 7th on 6 but with 9 games remaining will be a real threat to the front runners.  Kevinfrost is also on 6, but with just a single game left is having a tourney to forget.   LadyoftheKnight is still 9th on 5.5, which is up one and a half points since the last bulletin. With 4 wins, 3 draws and just 2 losses she looks good to challenge the leaders if this run continues, especially having taken 3 points from 4 games against the top 2 players, Shmeeeee and Kingsknight.   Esolanor props up the table and is currently on 4 with 3 games to go. He has taken a point off Shmeeeee but overall, like Kevinfrost,  his game has gone off the boil. These players are better than this usually but will now have to dig in and try to claim as many scalps as possible before the tourney ends . . . and this makes them the most dangerous players of all . . . whose day will they ruin ?  Who will lose and weep ?  WE WILL SEE !   

 Hi folks - Kingsknight still hangs on to 2nd with 9 points, but is behind Shmeeeee who is on 12 with 4 games to go.   Katon stays 3rd on 8 , also with 4 games to go.   Tsk is 4th on 6.5 and has 7 left in which to challenge the leaders.  Krcarriere has the same score as Tsk, but stays 5th due to inferior tie-break points.   Rruotsal drops to 6th on 6 points but has 9 left to complete while Kevinfrost is on 6 with a single game to go.   Dickydog is on 5 with 5 left and LadyoftheKnight stays in 9th place on 4, but has a massive backlog of 11 games in which to turn this tourney on its head.  Esolanor brings up the rear on 3 with 4 games to be completed.   Cheers - TZ

Shmeeeee extends his lead to 12.   3rd place Katon can now only equal Shmeeeee's score - if he wins all remaining games.   Tsk still looks dangerous on 5.5 with 11 games to go.   Rruotsal leaps up to 5th place on 5 points but has 10 games in the bank - enough to win this tourney.   LadyoftheKnight nicks half a point through a repetition draw but drops to 9th.   Kevinfrost is having a nightmare of a tourney and can only max out on 7 and has dropped right out of medal contention . . . every other player can take something from this - if they win, win, win.    Good luck - TZ.

Hi folks . . . latest news - - - Shmeeeee pulls another one out of the hat and goes clear on 11 having lost only 2 games so far.   Kingsknight still hangs on to 2nd but can only watch from the sidelines as the peloton gear up to attack his score of 9.   Katon is 3rd on 7 with 5 to go.   Tsk looks extremely dangerous now in 4th with 5 wins out of six.   Esolanor is propping up the entire league with 3 wins from 12  games played - one of those wins was against group leader Shmeeeee. Eso has the ability to avoid the wooden spoon but ALL those in the wrong half of the table know what they have to do - START WINNING !   Good luck - Tommy Z.
