This is a "No Vacation" tournament!
The November GeoChess is for players with ratings between 1400 and 1750. In this month's edition, there is a 40% advance rate with medium-sized groups (5(2)->2) and so you'll play eight simultaneous games per round. Only players with more than 100 games, less than an average move time, and less than a 2% time-out rate may join. Please note that there is no vacation time. I've decided to open this tournament up to non-premium members to see how it goes; I think that the main thing is the other settings... Since this has come up, I'll boot players with ratings above 1750 the day or so before the tournament starts to try to get clean numbers for the groups (chess.com automatically boots players with ratings that are too high before the tournament starts anyway).
There is a new GeoChess tournament dedicated to a different country every month on the 15th. I may pick the countries of the winners of past tournaments for a few of the themes, once those start wrapping up.
This tournament will not start until November 15th, 2018. The tournament does not auto-start if it fills before then (so that players can plan on a starting date). I may delay it one or two days following the 15th if it needs to fill.
