This is a "No Vacation" tournament!
The May GeoChess, Rook Edition is for players with ratings less than 1425. In this month's edition, there is a 40% advance rate with medium-sized groups (5(2)->2) and so you'll play eight simultaneous games per round. Only players with more than 75 games, less than an average move time, and less than a 2% time-out rate may join. Please note that there is no vacation time. Since this has come up, I'll boot players with ratings above 1425 the day or so before the tournament starts to try to get clean numbers for the groups (chess.com automatically boots players with ratings that are too high before the tournament starts anyway). It's best for you to remove yourself from the tournament if your rating falls out of range; you can rejoin if you remove yourself.
This tournament will not start until May 15th, 2019. The tournament does not auto-start if it fills before then (so that players can plan on a starting date). I may delay it one or two days following the 15th if it needs to fill. There is a new GeoChess tournament dedicated to a different country every month on the 15th.
