Alright, so this has been my very favorite opening for a long time now, and there has been MUCH discussion on Chess.com about this opening being dead or not. Well let's prove it! If it IS dead...then Black should win a large majority of the games here. If not, then white should do well!

Two big upsets!
We've had our first two big upsets in the tournament. The mighty chessjoe83 has fallen, and KevinGarnet played a very unusual King's Gambit line, somehow defended against a scary attack, and was able to queen some pawns for the victory. You can check out both upsets below:

Tournament Update - No big upsets yet!
Just looking over the pairings and it looks like all the #1 seeds in each group are so far holding up well. Not a single upset yet on a #1 seed. We'll see if that changes as the tournament progresses. Also, if you have any "AMAZING" games you'd like to have highlighted, please msg me and I'll check it out. Please do make sure they are AMAZING or have some brilliances or really good tactics or something before you send them over. :) Don't send any games where your opponent just blundered please. Good luck to all for the rest of the first round.
