The first round of this tournament is almost done. The games are very interesting and I can't wait for the next rounds. Soon we'll know the winner. Do you have a favorite? Leave a comment! happy.pngthumbup.png

Congratulations to all participants in the tournament and I hope the games have been profitable and challenging for everyone.

Registration for the second edition of the tournament is now open. The rating range and dispute model will be the same. But I organize other amateur tournaments, with other dispute formulas and rating intervals, so taking advantage of this opportunity, I leave you with the links and descriptions below. Those who want to participate are welcome.

First Steps Tournament #2 (<1200)
Second edition of this lovely tournament with the most traditional model of dispute: four people per group, the first two advancing. I have the idea of inviting, after its 8th edition, the champions of each individual edition to play a First Steps Tournament 2021 Final. I will think of something cheap (but cool) that I can offer as a symbolic gift for the great winner. Let's see.

Games epiphany (beginners) #1 (<1200)
Eleven players. Unique group. Twenty games at once. The top three advance to a final stage. The idea here is to quickly practice your game concepts, such as openness, half-game, etc. Immersed in a tournament environment and playing against people with similar rankings, it is easier to see what is working and what is not in your game.

Games epiphany (open) #1
Same idea, but open. No rating limit.

Mini knockout tournament (beginners) #3 (<1100)
Here, the idea is the opposite. Not many games, but isolated battles. The winner of the battle continues until the final game. Few people, only eight. It is a fast tournament where the focus, more than on learning, is on victory!

Mini knockout tournament (intermediates) #2 (1100-1499)
Same. But different rating range and number of players: 16.

Mini knockout tournament (open) #2
Same again, but open and 32 players.

Galery of champs
#1 (in progress... your name can be written here for eternity!!!)
