It's the unveiling of the ever-popular opening, the Queen's Gambit. Players are in for a feast of calculation with this very rich, theoretical opening, which certainly abounds in variational weaponry for both sides to explore.
This thematic tournament will start with the sequence of 1.d4 d5 2.c4 (the Queen's Gambit). An enchanting test for the best and for all who try to tame her.
Participants can expect to be competing in an open-rated, elimination format, with a maximum of 3 days per move.
Trophies will be presented in recognition of excellence to the final three successors.
