This is part of a monthly tournament series designed to produce fair games for players with ratings under 1275. I've scaled the number games back down a tad for this month. I'll crank up the number of games a bit in the December edition (here is the link to that), when I know a lot of people get some time off work. ;-)
For the November 2014 edition, there is a 50% advance rate with small groups (4(2)->2)and so you'll begin with 6 simultaneous games (double games). Only players with more than 100 games, less than an average of 6 hours per move, and less than a 3% time-out rate may join. This is also a premium-member only tournament and there is no vacation time. These rules are in place to weed out some of the less serious players, prevent timeouts, etc.
This tournament scheduled to begin after midnight, chess.com time (Pacific US time, GMT-8) on November 15, 2014. At that time, I'll wait until it fills, if it is not full already, before beginning the tournament. It will not start earlier than the appointed time on 15.November.
I'll start removing players who look like they are "gaming" their score or whose score exceeds 1300 at around one week before the tournament starts (the point of removing players over 1300 is merely to keep the playing field reasonably level). Here is the link to the parallel tournament for players rated between 1275 and 1700.
Good luck and enjoy the games!
