The Sicilian Hyperaccelerated Dragon is a popular defense to ALL e4 openings. It is less theoretical than either the Sicilian Dragon or Accelerated Dragon. As such, it is an excellent way to avoid some of the most theoretical lines of the Sicilian while still keeping the asymmetry of a Sicilian. As such, it is an ideal place to start experimenting with a Sicilian Defense.
This tournament is relatively small reaching a maximum at 10 people organized in groups of five where 2 people move on. I also put a 50 game minimum constraint on the tournament to avoid people joining who have inflated Elo's.
I hope you will join me for this excellent competition.

News - Hyperaccelerated Dragon Tournament
Unfortunately, I saw several tournaments that are also Siclian Hyperaccelerated Dragon. Therefore, I brought the range of players down to 1600 with the same game requirements, but I made it so ONLY ONE player per group moves on. Also, I limited the competition to 10 players so it would start on time.
While it may be a small group, it will be a competitive tournament. Please tell some of your friends about it. It should be pretty easy to get 10 good people for this without inflated Elos or brand new user ids. I could lower the minimum game limit, but I would prefer not to.
Please feel free to share your thoughts as well. I would like to know your opinion.

Sicilian Hyperaccelerated Dragon
Please join me for this highly competitive tournament for players up to 2100. I opened the Elo Range because there were other tournaments with a similar Elo range to what I posted. This one is open to players with a VERY LARGE Elo range, but it still requires a having completed 50 games prior to registering.
Please join me for this event! This is a very robust defense and NOT as theoretical as many of the Open Sicilians.

Siclian Hyperaccelerated Dragon - 1150-1601
Sorry for the redundant communication....
However, I widened the participation range for this tournament because it is an ideal way to get started with the Siclian Defense. However, it will still require a 50 game minimum to participate to avoid inflated Elos.
Since two people will advance and the field is small, average players should have a good chance to win. Less experienced players will have a chance to play games against better opponents some of whom may NOT be very familiar with this opening.
Bottom Line: This is a GREAT Sicilian to learn first. It could be attacked and defended in a variety of ways and scores quite well.
Hope to see you at the boards. Pat G.

Hyperaccelerated Dragon - 1301-1600
Please join me for the Hyperaccelerated Dragon Tournament scheduled to start on February 22, 2012. The tournament is limited to 50 people between 1301-1600 based on a minimum of 50 games played.
In this competition, two people will advance per round and there will be 10 groups of five. For people who have a mid-range Elo this should provide excellent chances to move on and possibly place.
Please join me for this exciting event!
