OK here we go now on this tournament there are 2 trophys up for grabs the first trophy will be sent to winner of this massive tournament, the 2nd will go to the player who causes the biggest upset, 3rd place will just be sent a virtual trophy im afraid as does get costly, so how will work its simple this will a points based tournament and the higher ranked players will be handicapped, ie 10 points per win,however if a player say is ranked 1500 beats a player ranked 1000, then the winner will recieve 10 points -5 because 1 point will be deducted for every ranked 100 higher than his opponent, but if the lower ranked player wins he or she will recieve 10+5 for beating the higher ranked player. If a stalemate or draw is the result, that will be 5 points per player, but the lower ranked player will still recieve 1 point per hundred ranking, so in other words the 1000 ranked player who draws with the 1500 player will recieve 10 points. And the outright winner will be the player who has the most points against thier name, so you see that evrn the lower ranked player providing can win games from the higher ranked can win this tournament.the second trophy will go to the person whos name appears on the biggest upset so there you have it, this wont start untill we have lots of players enjoy and play well!!!

adjustment to the points system
hi because this is a points tourni i need to make a few adjustments before we start. This is because there are some very high ranking players on board, and under the present system if a player ranked 2100 beats a player of 1000, which is what in all proberbility is what the result will be, that would mean the higher ranked player would be minus 1 point , well that dosent seem right so in that senario the points awarded would be just 1 point to the 2100 ranked player, however if the lower ranked player won that would be a whopping 21 points so all to play for in this game hope that is clear, i will check the tourni on a weekly basis and put scores on doors on the group page good luck, just 7 more players for kick off!!!
