unique eternity of chess

Dear chess player,

I'm glad you found your way here. Make yourself comfortable, I would like to tell you something that I hope will appeal to you. Our world has been getting worse and more hectic in recent years. Things that seemed stable changed in shorter and shorter periods of time and many things will never be the same again.  In times like these, I think it's good to have something stable, something that accompanies you over a long period of time and, if possible, doesn't change; something where you can pause for a moment every now and then to focus and slow down. 

And that is precisely the purpose of this tournament, which I have called "unique eternity of chess" and to which I hereby cordially invite you. The tournament symbolises the sublime, almost eternal immortality and constancy of our beloved game of chess, because it is designed in such a way that it will probably accompany you for many years. Hopefully, it will not weigh you down, because you will only play one game at a time and you have two weeks to think about each move if you want to.

I have hosted such a tournament before, it was called "eternity of chess" and ran from 2011 to 2020 and I think the participants enjoyed it a lot.

Of course, for such a special tournament I designed the trophies myself! I am convinced that they will adorn a trophy collection.
