The queen pawn openings tend to be more positional than tactical. TheĀ opening is still full of opening traps and tricks. It can lead to very surprising and sharp lines. So be alert :)

What we call the semi-slav defence is a variation over the queen gambit declined. Here is a possible line 1.d4 d5 2.c4 e6 3.Nc3 Nf6 4.Nf3 c6
