Welcome! This tournament is for people who have recently joined Chess.com and want to try out a tournament. There will be only five participants. You will play four games simultaneously (one versus each player). You must make a move every three days or loose on time. This is a friendly tournament, so feel free to join and ask questions. I'll answer them to the best of my knowledge.

Let the tournament begin!
Hello and thank you for joining this tournament! Although I have set up tournaments in the past, this is the first one I have set up for people who are new to Chess.com. I did not want to change the tournament set up (not more than 4 games simultaneously), so the tournament running software split you all up into two groups.
You will be assigned White or Black for your first game against your opponents. When that game completes, you will play a second game playing the opposite color.
You are required to make a move every three days. Not doing so will result in a loss. Be aware that timing out is frowned upon in tournaments and having too many time outs can cause you to be inelligible for many tournaments. So by all means, try not to time out.
All the games are rated, so your ratings will change as games complete.

Just waiting for one more person to join...
I would like to get one or two more people to join the tournament. That way when it is complete you will have played 8 or 10 games, which should be enough to qualify you for other tournaments and give you a good introduction to turn-based chess here on Chess.com. We will start when we have at least 5 players and I will begin the tournament no later than Sunday morning, September 20. Thanks for your patience!
