Thank you Grandmaster Melik.
I played Ng8 in one of my games before i saw this video but missed the defense of the light squares. i attacked instead. and lost.
Superb analysis. I have found the Dragon difficult to defend against top players. Kanchiyan gives some non-intuitive moves whih seem to work
idoogy, 8...Ng4 gives a free knight because of 9.Qg4
I love this video and this game seems critical. I watched it twice and will watch it again.
Thank you GM Khachiyan!
Sorry, but i believe that it's ridiculous that platinium member can't see the full video or at least a certain amount each month.
Had i known before, i wouldn't have subscribed.
Edit : I just paid full subscribtion... fml
How about the Marshall-Lewitzky battle?
yea, nice 2 mins
Perfect commentary and teaching ... brilliant game by Chucky in a tricky position against the best player ever ... wonderful work Melik thank you so very much! LOVE this series ... sorry to see the series end ... but it's going to be a new beginning as well!
KASPAROV THE BEST CHESS PLAYER EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on this earth
the white bishop should not retreat to d2, it should take the pawn on a7 instead and get rid of 1 rook
good video, interesting ideas
what about Ng4?

Are you ready for some fireworks? In today's video lecture, Ivanchuk puts on a display of creativity and brilliance against former World Champion Garry Kasparov! When Chucky plays a novelty early on in a well known, sharp variation of the Accelerated (Hybrid) Dragon, he changes the opinion of the entire variation, nearly taking down one of the greatest of all time in the process! GM Khachiyan leads the way once again in his Accelerated Dragon video series.
