Wow the way Gelfand played it was just ruthless. That was a very instructive game, thanks!
Wow I don't think I've ever seen someone grind out with triples on the h file like the Gelfand game. And hey thanks for sharing your game as well! In the words of Bill Clinton, I feel you pain Bro! That was a Georgian Bear Hug and he squeezed you tighter than a snare drum. Wow. Thanks for the great video and series!! I learned a lot and at our club level a lot of guys prefer closed positions so this really helps. It's time to put on squeeze with slow, positional, prophylactic play!!
Really great video. Thank you Alex!!
THANKS FOR TEACHING
I learned how to torture people today. They should open new chapter in chess book for Extreme Torturing Skill. Thanks GM Alex. I will start torture people today
Very nice lecture, thanks for being honest, and make a awesome vid!
Excellent follow up to your debut. So far this series has broaden my understanding of chess and I'm seeing immediate results. Thanks, BK
great video, look forward to seeing some more. thanks
So many times in the Chess Mentor and obviously in the Tactics Trainer, one is dropped into a position where something big is happening. It is so difficult to stay patient with a space advantage. In the Gelfand game, when the Q and 2 R were lined up on the h file, I just know that I would have been dying to sac a piece (or 2) to make something happen. It was extremely instructive to see the slow, methodical play. Thanks GM Alex.
really enjoyed the videos. gave me some answers why I'm losing
thx, I enjoyed watching your video.

by GM Alex Lenderman
This weekend our "feature presentation" comes from GM Alexander Lenderman on the topic of Space in chess. Two games, one featuring the brilliant maneuverings of Super-GM Boris Gelfand -- and another coming at the personal expense of our author... Pay special attention to white's patience, pattern in development (d3-square for the knight on e5) and willingness to "take it slow"... Enjoy!
