What happens when you blunder mate in 1 against Magnus Carlsen?
Unfortunately, I lost the next two games in poor fashion against two lower rated players and withdrew. Jeffery Xiong won his other ten games and still won the tournament.
There are a couple of different ways to get mated in 3, but find the sequence that a strong player might(and did) play
Too busy, can't do it anymore. Will discuss thoughts about it in the comments though.
I apologize, but none of the games from round 4 of the candidates were interesting enough to annotate. There was only one win, and it was from the Berlin endgame so I refuse.
Nothing interesting today, I am just here to say stop playing the Berlin!
White to play, obviously Bd3 leads to advantage but there's something even better
Black to play and win
Black to play, who has the better practical chances? And what is the best continuation for both sides? (This position is not winning for either side but I found the variations interesting)
White to play and win
Black to play. Can black save the game, or is white winning?(Don't check an engine, please)
White to play and win
Black to play and win.
Sorry this has come out a bit late, I haven't been able to work on it.
Round 1: Round 2: Round 3: Round 4: Round 5: Round 6: Round 7: Round 8: Round 9(One of the craziest games of my life): Man, what a crazy tournament. I'm so happy. Thank you everyone who's been there to support me.
