In today’s post, I would like to present you a video lecture on one of my most favorite systems against Ruy Lopez for black. The unique feature of this line is that it lets black to avoid the conventional and rather dry lines of the classical variations. In the Moeller Defence, black gets a chance to acquire an active development and fight for initiative right from the start. I have used this opening successfully in a number of games against very strong players and many Grandmasters use it as a surprise against Ruy Lopez as well. Enjoy!

Congratulations on your IM title, Tiger! I'm sure the GM title will just be a matter of time.
great work by Gm Tiger Lilov. Its a great variation and most of the players might not know about it. It's just fascinating that how Black gets a good compensation by sacrificing a pawn. Great work!!!
