Dunnington's book In the Nimzoindian is good if youre interested we can discuss matters pertaining on how we can swap titles. But if you really want to know the opening very well, I suggest you also take the one by gligoric. Gligoric is the leading authority in the Nimzoindian. May i know youre lists in youre library? Please find time to write it down. thanks.

Chess players have books, how come you don't even have a single one? But I must admit a lot of these books are very much older than me.Wink

Nobody will understand a chess player but a chess player.Wink. C'mon guys list down your books in youre library.

Yup! I've read them all but of course my study on them is quite superficial. I'm more than a critic. Facing facts objectively. But I really enjoyed the books by SUmmerscale  in A killer Chess openings and Silman's Dynamic Caro-kann, if youre talking about openings.Smile

I'm looking for the book on the Lasker -Capablanca Match 1921 and the Alekhine -Capablanca Match 1927 in English translation.I also have russian books and magazines. It's around 20 books and 15 magazines in my library but I cant' understand them cause i dont speak and read russian.

I hope you can give me your email.Do you know any body who has a copy

of the book by LAsker on the 1921 match, i have mine in german and i can't read it. Also I'm looking for the 1927 match by Botvinnik and Purdy's Search for chess Perfection. By the way , Kotronias's book beating the Caro-kann is a good book for average tournament players. I used to have one you should take care of that books.Smile

Lousy

I don't play 1.e4 anymore....so its up for grabs.

I don't like the resulting position for his advance caro-kann. It burns the "bridge" in the attack.

If the attack fizzle, then black has an easy endgame with so much advance white pawns.

I am shaken.  I thought my small collection of well-used chess books was an extreme. This post has changed my preconception on that point.  My humble library is as follows:

1) Understanding Chess: Move by Move by John Nunn

2) Winning Chess by Chernev and Reinfield

3) Josh Waitzkin's Attacking Chess

4) Winning Chess Openings by Bill Robertie

5) Chess in a Nutshell by Fred Reinfield

Note that I am not interested in a swap, but am simply posting my library here.

I think you need a tactics puzzle book and also 1-2 endgame books. To tell people honestly, I have too many opening books. Regret buying them

I also own CM, with its many tutorials on endgames and am a frequent visitor of chess.emrald.net, which has over 28,000 tactical puzzles, which I try to do around 75 each day.  However, I am open to suggestions for intermediate-advance level Endgame Books.
