teaching software and drills

I am looking for good teaching software. I played Chess Master 11, this is basically the software that thought me how to play chess.

It contains most aspects of the game with (visual and audio) explaination and a quiz per topic. However the number of drills/quiz per topic is not that vast. For instance, I can really improve by starting to master the concepts of trading and recognizing open/closed games and basing my next move on analysis thereof. But Chess Master gives this theory with a limited of drills.

I am looking for good software that will teach me all the concepts there are, inluding drills/questions/quizes.

What software is best for that?

Have you tried one of the three chess academies in Chessmaster XI?  I think they go into great detail on how to play, far more than the basic moves quizzes that you're referring to.  I haven't gone through them to any great extent, but it looks like they detail openings, strategy, and end games tactics.  Just click on Academy on the opening screen, then choose one of the three offered courses.

chessmaster: grandmaster edition has additional drills and such. i'd recommend it for all beginners.

Thanks for the tips so far. I have not yet exchausted Chess Master. And am currently doiing the academy. The concepts are well explained. However only à few 'tests' are taken. I want to test myself more extensibly. Any other tips?
