I think 2.Qh5 has a great psychological effect where black often feels compelled to play aggressively and "refute" the bad opening. Sometimes this edge can be enough for white 

The opening isn't good but many people wrongly think of it as losing. Ironically, this is mostly at lower levels where they would actually have the most trouble to prove blacks advantage
