The Scotch
Favorite Chess Opening from White!

A tossup between the Trompowsky and Hopton, both lead to very unusual and often complex positions which many black players are relatively unfamiliar with.
The hopton (1.d4 f5 2.bg5) is probably my favourite to play but it comes up relatively rarely compared to the trompowsky (1.d4 nf6 2.bg5).
I score well off both, but I guess my vote goes to the trompowsky, since I get to play it so often and with good results against indian players.
Hey guys, I posted this forum so I could see what openings other people like, amateur to expert. My favorite opening is the King's Gambit as well as Evans Gambit. What's yours?
