Grunfeld as White

Hi guys. Can anyone recommend a good grunfeld line as white? I want something that isn't too drawish but not "too much" memorizing. Please help me this is the only line im having trouble with.

Hi yoony123--have you thought about the Neo-Grunfeld where you avoid 3. Nc3 and play a move like f3, g3, or other development instead?  It's a sort of anti-Grunfeld because if black goes ahead with the ...d5 cxd5 Nxd5 plan, he has nothing to trade on c3 and loses a tempo after white's e4 push.  Otherwise it sounds like you want to avoid the complexities of the exchange variation altogether.  Qb3, Nf3, and Bf4 can all be played, with or without the Bg2 fianchetto; Bg5 is a little more adventurous and could be what you're seeking.  Check out the Taimanov variation where black responds to Bg5 with Ne4, white usually plays Bh4, and he keeps a solid center if black exchanges with Nxc3.  Leads to an unbalanced game with chances for each side.

What do you play against the KID?

I had a friend that defeated a master against the Grunfeld in an open tournament (quite easily I might add).  He avoided the main lines and instead played Petrosian's Bg5 variation.  The middle-game position ended up for Black what looked like a screwed up version of the Tartakower QGD.
