I play pseudo trompowsky with black and plays 2...f6! I think whites best response is 3.Bf4 rather than 3.Bh4. After 3.Bf4 it often ends out with black being a minor piece up at the cost of two pawns and exposed king. Engines may evaluate it to be 0.00, but with such imbalances the game tends to be decisive

fascinated by trompowsky i took it up recently but havent really got the grip on its theory...could anyone of you who knows or has experience playing it tell me about pseudo trompowsky...d4 d5 Bg5...im afraid when black plays for Nc6 f6 and quick e5 setup against the trompowsky..please help
