Better luck next time. :)
Won another game, against rajnikant001, but not really on the board but because of other reasons. It was great one, r001!
And another one bites the dust ... :(
I'd already told Miha that we'd played once before, in his 100 game simul a few months ago. I had a different account then which I deleted shortly afterwards; after a break from chess I started this account about a month ago and was greatly looking forward to the game.
I lost our first game due to excessive indulgence in red wine one night; we'd had a wildly tangled middle game, equal on material but Miha had the edge and I'm sure he would have won, even if I hadn't decided I was still in a fit state to think after sharing a few bottles of wine with friends ... ;)
Anyway, my motivation was extremely high for this second game; I'd enjoyed his playing style immensely and was determined to at least achieve a draw. The game developed in a similar fashion; complicated, with battles being fought on three fronts at the same time. After a wobbly opening we reached the middle game, and I was fairly sure that the chances were about even. And then I went on holiday, to a tiny island in the North Sea with very irregular internet connections. After 2 days I got a connection and tried to go into vacation mode, but of course I had to make my move, which I did on a windy beach, and it was a bad one ... That's not meant to be an excuse, Miha would probably have finished me off in the endgame anyway - anyway, thanks for the 2nd chance, it was a great game for me while it lasted, and good luck for the rest!
For what it's worth, here's the game:
I will post my thought on the game when I manage to get to a computer. I'm sure I was worse at some point when your K-side attack started. :) Thank you for the game!
And just an explanation: Katt seems to be a norwegian word for cat (according to Google Translate). Why I've chosen cat - no idea. :)
BTW Why Norwegian? (Incidentally, it's the same spelling in Swedish, and one 't' less for Danish IIRC.)
Ok, 2 wins till now. One won on time, one by luck.
