The closest, near like immortal game I've had.

It's not close to an immortal.

Not sure how to qualify it.

It was against a 1930 (a friend by sheer coincidence) at a long time controlled tournament this past weekend.

I dunno, it's not impressive by any means since I am not good at calculating, but I like it a lot. It felt like a lot of calculating to a strategic player like myself.

I hope it was somewhat fun to look at. It was very fun to play, but unfortuantely was against a friend of mine who was trying to get first place in this tournament also.

Is anyone find that there may be a spacing glitch when it comes to the text near the analysis board?

Im a little annoyed that this happens to me sometimes

Congratulations on your victory!

Regarding immortality...

If you had played 13.e5! it may have been more of a memorable game. As it was, the game was good, but not special. I've selected games from OTB tournaments for publication in state chess magazines before. This is probably publishable in your state magazine, but don't expect it to win any best game awards there.

Take a look at this possibility.

This could make a great puzzle:

I don't think e5 would have made it more memorable honestly...but it is nice nevertheless.

For me, what was most memorable was Nf5?! and Rxe7!??, even if it was wrong. I'm satisfied with it, although I have to improve to find those easier wins as mentioned in the PGN.

Awesome game!Aagard seems to be working out for you.

I'm not sure how much Aagaard is responsible is for this. Maybe the confidence level to determine that there MUST be good moves in certain positions, but honestly, all of the tactics involving e5, Nd5, Nf5 are commonly seen in sicilians games btw. (After Qxc4, its quite remarkably a sicilian structure for BOTH sides, a terrible one for black though)

Thanks though Smile

Great game, sir

lol. Why would ANYONE be that greedy to take c4, and when they're not castled. I would have played e5 since I love giving up pawns :)

You should have REALLY punished him with a mating attack, not a queen vs. rook and knight that you have to convert haha.

InfiniteFlash

Queen and pawn and easily winning positional advantage vs rook and knight was really easy to win.

Black could have resigned with a clear conscience after Qe7 btw

It's quite obvious you skimmed through the game Abhishek, if you did go through the PGN, then you would realize I was very critical of myself.

For the record, after the game, my opponent was like "what the hell, why did i take the pawn on c4, was I high?"
