Poor game, nice mate.

After a pretty mundane game where we both made mistakes, I was able to find quite a nice winning combination.

Thank you very much for the advice, Kingslok. On second viewing, my neglect of the centre looks almost crimminal. I suppose I was just concentrating too hard on my kingside when black's pieces and later mine were providing the threats there. But yes, I'm aware I would have been punished for my over-defensive play by more aggressive players. Also, I never normally fianchetto one bishop, let alone two, so I'm not sure what I was thinking with that.

The time controls were 15/5 over live chess, though we both moved very quickly and each still had well over 10 minutes left by the end. In my case, this is probably a result of playing too many games against LittleChessPartner - it moves very quickly and this cause me to do the same.
