A Blunder so disgusting I wan't to PUKE

Blunders are a natural part of chess and some of us make them more than others.  But I made the worst type of blunder which was not a tactical error, but  a slip of the mouse moving a piece. I did this not not once, but twice.  I had my openent check mated and when I went to move my rook into the 8th rank to ckeckmate him, I accidently moved the rook to 7th rank. Cost me the game.  About 45 minutes ago, same thing, I had my openent checkmated. My queen was on the 8th rank and all I had to do to checkmate my opponent was to take his rook also on 8th rank.  So instead of moving my queen and taking my opponents rook,  I ACCIDENTLY movd it one square.  Of course my opponents rook now took my queen.  Making a tactical error is one thing, but a slip of the mouse is a reason to commit Hari Kari.  Has this happened to anyone else?  I need support in a time of crisis. Yell

I didn't know you can do that. I thought you had to move a piece with your mouse and once moved, nothing can be done. Are you telling me there is a way to prevent making errors regarding moving a piece inadvertantly to a wrong square  If so, I would love to know how that is done.  Thanks

If you're talking about bullet chess, that happens to everyone, it's just a part of the game. If this is happening to you in slower time controls, then just take your time when moving the piece, and don't let go of it too early. If you drop a piece too early, it's your own fault.

Take it with humour, my friend.

Better lose a game of online chess than get a bad diagnosis after a petscan.

Mouseslips can happen if you drag pieces. However if you click on the piece you want to move and then click on its destination square then you can avoid them.

When i play on iphone i use the "submit move" button.. It's in the settings for online and live play. The one major draw-back to this option is if you get in time trouble each move take that much longer. There is a give and take there.
