Riley ?....is that you in the sloop sailboat w/ the blue mast cover on the left ? If so, dinghy in & I'll meet there at the benches........
Bobby Fischer Lacked Creativity ?....How Dare I !

I'll do a swing around the lightpost for you the next time I'm there in the harbor ....I'll tell you when & you can watch........

I'm back, mostly nursing a big headache from the nuclear infusion. So, I thought I'd just lurk and take in some of the brilliant postings...just for laughs.
This gamma ray stuff has a six hour half life, they tell me. So, by tomorrow, I should be hitting the ground running.
Meanwhile, Lala, I suggest you get a copy of the book shown below. It will make you a "believer". Long live Bobby!!!

Lala, I am feeling much better today...wonderful, in fact...but I regret that I have lost my gamma ray ability to see though brick walls.
Here I am, sitting placidly, having fond thoughts of the great, great chess era which I lived through with a front row television view, black and white, of the marvelous chess player known as Robert J. Hotdog Fischer.
Too bad you missed out.

It's been told that you can watch Forrest Gump and see BF playing chess on the black & white TV....ever so briefly. True or False ?....Truth of Dare ?........
....and may you be seen from a spaceship w/ a smile on your face (....from the glow you're putting off after getting zapped).
Seriously....recover in full luv - and soon.

My copy of "My 60 Memorable Games" is a 4th printing, and is in English Descriptive Notation, as Fischer used!

I cut my teeth on descriptive notation and still relish it because I could read a chess book and picture a long string of moves in my head. I realize that algebraic is superior in the computer era, but I am unable to read and visualize more than just a few moves and must, therefore, lay it all out on a board (real or virtual).
Lala, I held a candle light seance this evening in my home. Lo and behold! Bobby popped in. He said: "I'm coming to get you Barbara...I mean Lala!"

When I was a young girl my momma used to send me down to the general store with $1 and I'd come back with five potatos, two loaves of bread, a bottle of milk, a wheel of cheese, some coffee, and a dozen eggs.
You can't do that anymore. Those dam security cameras....
Have a good day everyone !

Lola, exactly year were you able to purchase so much food for dollar, was that 1920? Sound kind of old. I can't remember buying so many items for one buck, maybe a coke.

yure, it's a joke. I've seen it before. It's all about not being able to steal as easily due to surveillance cameras.

Lala, can you imagine how much talent and drive it takes to become a GM? Surely you do, since you've been working your way up at chess for, what, about 30 years?
That Bobby not only did it at a young age, but he single-handedly toppled the Soviet chess regime. He was a creative artist and abacus-extraordinaire, all rolled into one!

Harvey, u could always come down here if something happened to ur wife. But then, uv already thought about all that........
