Then you'll learn how GMs do not think. Thats great training
chess lessons by patzers?!
Of course to, say an 800, 1400 looks mighty impressive.
Yeah but it only takes very little effort, if any, to go from 800 to 1400, and I'm not even talking Internet ratings here but real ones. Hell, just developing your pieces and making positional assessments and planning around them alone might put 400 points on an 800's rating right there, or studying (very) basic endgames, while both together should bring them up to 1400.
I dont know I just dont get it im 1443 uscf and still havent peaked because I havent played in many tourneys, But I would never offer coaching services. Because I dont think Im capable of giving a kid what they pay for. Im not a master. Im just surprised chess.com allows untitled players to advertise for lessons. Afraid many ppl arent getting bang for their buck!
Because there's always a big "knowitall" factor in the chess world. That's why 1400s engage in these antics.

... and people say that you don't tackle the subject matter.
Nailed it, this time!
Yeah, and it wore me out too. I'm gonna have to go watch a few episodes of Lidsville now just to unwind.
I once signed up for online chess lessons. The girl did not speak English but was a pretty hot Thai chick from Bangkok.
Leaving the letching to one side, how were the chess lessons?
I occasionally give lessons to people under 1000 I have helped a lot of people that has helped me too... If u r interested for a good laugh there's an 800 teaching chess levels from absolute begginer to expert
I don't think anybody would be ridiculous enough to actually pay a 1400 to teach em, but they might be taught for free.

I know the feeling, right goldendog ?
I don't know. If everybody coaches someone a few hundred points lower, automatically everybody gets stronger. Of course you should not expect much from it. Certainly I wouldn't expect them to ask any money.
I help beginners and weaker club players out here and there, and I never ask any money for it. I think I certainly could, if I had a real compilation of lessons anywhere. :P
Im new here, Trying something new. Why do I see a bunch of lower rated players offering coaching services? On icc they must be titled. Why on earth would anyone take lessons from a 1400?
