I'm not convinced The Best is the 5th best. It may simply be the 5th largest. But let's suppose, for the sake of argument, that The Best is the second best. If too many of the right sort of people join it - so that it becomes the best, it will have an unfair advantage over its opponents.
I'm actually looking for the worst group to join - so that I can make it better. Unless - and this is perhaps more likely, by joining it I make it worse!

artfizz, try Tally Team Users, I heard that they are in need and should suit your critera!

Bizarrely, when I tried that, I got the following error message:
“The system has detected that you are NOT making full use of the facilities freely available to correspondence chess (also known as turn-based chess and online chess) users on this site. This includes – but is not limited to - Game Explorer (the Openings database), the Analysis Board, Conditional Moves, online reference resources, books, etc. Perhaps you should consider joining a group* in which use of these facilities during play is regarded as a handicap to your chess development – instead of a group where these facilities are reckoned to enhance your overall understanding and performance of the game. Sorry.”
Has anyone seen this one before?
By the way, it appears that Tally Team Non-Users* are struggling to make up a team. Can anyone lend them a hand?

I see that a pair of tournaments Use explorer on his tournament and Do not use Explorer have been created, the first for 5 players and the second (anticipating a much greater level of demand), for 12. Which will be 'The Best'?
I am not a member of "The Best" group. But I appreciate the fact that they are trying to put together a tournament for people rated 2001-2200. It's not always easy to get games against people of similar rating. Unfortunately, the tournament is slow to fill. If you want to play other people near your rating, here is the link to the tournament:

The Best is too popular. Join Narz's People instead. 
"The Best" is 5th best? that's funny.
Narz's People is gonna jump massively, we're winning most of our team matches. Except we'll probably lose to "The Power of Chess" since they have fifteen over 2000's vs. a mix of our guys from above 2K to below 1200. Never again will I play such a big team. They crowd out all their lower rated guys so only their bigshots can play. At Narz's People you'll always get to play in team matches regardless of rating. 
I invited some high rateds but I think I might boot them because they're not joining any team games anyway. I invited this one "secret weapon" guy (ManicDragon) at 2400 but he timed out in both his games & has been AWOL since. Serves me right I guess.

How do you achieve that? Are you using a balancing algorithm - like EARLIEST, FAIR MATCH or BEST MATCH - outlined here (http://www.chess.com/forum/view/help-support/first-come-first-served-team-chess) ?
Actually, that's not one-hundred percent true. A couple people couldn't play in our latest team match (vs. Fou Rouge) but that's only because the other team didn't have enough players to meet all of us. In most of our other matches you will see plenty of low rateds along with higher rated players. Huge teams like "The Power of Chess" simply never allow low rateds to play it seems.
