Post what you think are the best so that any improving player can access lots of the "good stuff" just from one forum..
Or just post some names of the users you think have contributed lots of goodies! (including yourself if you wish)

I numbered these, but they are in 'no particular order' or sequence, merely listing them as they come to mind. Being that I am a chess coach, I direct my students to the best resources I can identify, and get out of their way. I noticed that a chess coach often slows a student down.
1. CHESS.COM VIDEOS - fantastic material - for premium members, but if you are having a couple weeks vacation, you may want to pay for one month trial - as a diamond member and watch all the chess videos available. .... it is well worth the small monthly fee - to do that at least once in a while. (edited to insert this first. no, not a paid plug for chess.com membership, my personal opinion.)
2. PODCASTS: www.chesscompodcasts.com and chess podcasts (35 episodes of that so far) which can be found at www.chesspodcasts.blogspot.com this is new and growing.
3. for user content - entertainment, education, learning, and just plain fantastic games collection: the world's recognized expert on Paul Morphy (and a host of chess topics), is Batgirl. check out: http://blog.chess.com/batgirl/content-summary and when you scroll down, on the right column is checkmates; traps; and Judy's Problems. there are loads of fantastic games, chess history, and other wonderfully entertaining materials on her 'content' postings.
4. for fantastic games to enjoy: http://www.chess.com/members/view/Blunderprone and scroll down, click on 'show content' and browse through many great games.
5. Chess.com Staff member Patzer24 - finds time to post fantastic games he reviews, with his reviewing comments - every week a new game. you really need to see this material - if you are a beginner up through expert player - as he analyzes GM games and others. click on 'show content' and browse. http://www.chess.com/members/view_content/Patzer24?page=1
6. on the same order as batgirl's content, Bill Wall has posted many many fantastically entertaining chess games, - and other chess history topics. http://www.chess.com/members/view_content/billwall
7. User postings of which games THEY consider to be the 'greatest' (remember, chess beauty, like all beauty, is in the eye of the beholder - same for opinions on 'greatest chess games'). there are many facets to chess games, and often, beautifully entertaining ideas can be derived from reviewing great player's games. http://www.chess.com/forum/view/game-showcase/greatest-chessgame
8. Check out another chess coach, "CHESSKIA" and his content postings. He has compiled many databases for your pleasure and learning. Often enough, beginners will find these really valuable for basic ideas and starting out. You will need a PGN Reader (chessbase lite, and many others are available free, just google them), and you can download his 'content' and browse for years to see it all. http://www.chess.com/members/view_content/chesskia
last: for those who find the tactics trainer entertaining, but the clock stressful, I pull tactics I like, for variety for my students (some who do not have PCs at home), and print them. Recently, I started posting them (zipped, MS WORD documents). you can find them by browsing in my content. http://www.chess.com/members/view_content/RetGuvvie98
This 'short list' is not intended to overlook anyone's efforts, as there are many other folks posting excellent learning materials, fascinating games with commentary, and other features on chess.com and I don't believe my list is anywhere near complete. I'll revise it by adding to it later.
Thank you this is excellent. I'll search and list all titled players who have written any articles later aswell..

Some more fantastic contributors off of the top of my head:
Gonnosuke One of the most exciting players on this site and has provided much superb content as well. Including some really challenging puzzles..
immortalgamer Has a really fun collection of his own best games, most of them a kind of "throwback" to a 19th century sacrificial style of playing. Not many of them are annotated but most of the ideas behind a lot of his moves seem to be crystal clear anyway..
Dozy has done a lot of great blogging with a touch of humour behind everything..
Grakovsky has also written a lot of material and one can tell he puts a lot of effort into writing..
I'm not in the league of these guys, but I've written a few articles containing games which may be useful to some and are annotated in a clear, simple style. I plan to contribute a lot more in the future as well..
I'll give this thread a *bump* every week or so as I think it's very important for newbies who want to learn something while here.. Has no one by the way got anything else?

Fantastic thread. You guys are incredibly helpful!!

Arunabi and ilovegambits both put a LOT of effort into their articles and deserve to be commended. I've never read one of these guys articles without picking something new up (ironically, both did articles on the Bayonette and the latter's article finally convinced me to take the line up as my mainline attack of the KID.

Thanks for mentioning the Podcasts. These take time and are done for free. So feedback is always welcome.

Man!! It'll take a while to absorb this. Many thanks. I must sign off for now. Awesome. Did not go into the military. Thanks for serving. I run with some miltary dudes. Great runners. I'm 65 and still work full time. I'd love to devote more time to chess.
I recommend Batgirls stuff and also the resources and download tabs.
Games explorer is also a "must use"!
