    Blunders

Hello.  This is not a scam.

I am poor student of things and I would like to kindly plead that someone can help me.  I would very much like to have the chess.com membership even basic level with small gold star for only 1 year.  I want to study the chess very seriously.

In exchange I will play 10 games with you if you would like and I will share about my life story only if you would like.  And friends forever!

    Please serious only.

    Thank you.

I am a girl.  Not a boy.  But the angel is not appearing to be so much angel-like.  I don't want you to feel powerful in bad way.  I want to learn the chess!

If you join the group Chessaholics Anonymous and compete in the team matches for the Team Match League then you have a chance of winning a year of gold membership if you play well.

I've never heard a more stupid message.  It's simply dumb to think someone would respond to this forum with sympathy.  My suggestion to the forum starter is to become a communist and then you can get the government to pay for it.

You don't need premium membership to learn much about chess.

This user/persona has access to computer, internet access enough to feel they warrant and would benefit from a membership, and cannot find other forms of fungible commodities to make this happen.

    Interesting.

I pay $2.00 a month! What a huge load I have on my mind to pay that bill. I payed to be able to basically play in tournaments, plus I appreciate the site enough to make a small donation.  If you cannot afford two bucks a month then I really can't see from your perspective.  It's insulting that you think you can find some sorry shmuck to pay this miniscule fee.

    How is that logical?

Anyway, I don't wish to get personal, but it seems to me that you americans are a bit spoiled by your wealth and can't see others peoples perspective and situation. She/he really might not have the money to buy a membership.

Wow, such intelligence. That is like me saying people from Congo are too judgemental based on one observation of one. Get serious. By the way, apparently our country is in a "recession."

     1. If you did not wish to get personal, then why did you do so?  It seems to me that you did wish to get personal and thus you did.

    2. How is it logical to make a sweeping generalization about all Americans based on the comments of a few?

    3. You have to admit the request is ridiculous.  A membership to this site is a paltry sum and really gains you nothing of value in terms of studying chess which is Blunder's stated intention.

    4. Life is not about getting something for nothing.  Blunder should work hard, save up the $25, and pay for her own membership.  I would love to have a membership, but I can't get one.  You don't see me begging for one.  Someday I will join this site and help support it....when my wife lets me. ;)

    1. It is a joke/satire. 2. read my other post and think about the resources (s)he is already using and their availability. 3. cannot anyone play chess here and learn without a membership> ?  4. If she is so accustomed to such hardship all her life as to not be able to afford it one  might think she would learn to appreciate even more than an "American" the tremendous benefits she already gets and she would be so resouceful at using them to their fullest she could set a shining example for other people suffering her plight.

How would paying for other people who have desires for which they can't pay for help ? So where do we draw the line ? Chess sets, chess books, chess software too ? This planet's resources are already heavily taxed - so why tax it some more ?

How about putting the money for the membership to feeding and clothing a poor child instead ?

You already have free acess to the site, why not become a paid member after you've earned the money yourself ?
