Well I used to be excited about the upcoming V3 change where we will no longer ever be penalized for getting a correct answer (according to a post by staffmember DeepGreene). Now, not so much...Truly you are a visionary sir. One can only hope that your proposals receive the consideration they so richly deserve.

1) "Redemption Points" - If you screw up but get on second attempt you score a few points or a reduced penalty.
2) Take a "safety" (from American Football). If the clock show 2 minutes,you can press the "safety" button and take just a five point penalty.
3) Premium members get more points for a correct solution and reduced penalties.
4) People protesting against the solution get a few "Indignation Points." and a public apology from chess.com.
5) A "Mouse Slip Appeals" panel made up of an international committee of representatives can hear evidence (eg mouse type, age of player, tiredness,proximity to heavy meal etc) in order to recommend a reversal of points deducted to chess.com staff.
6) People posting their scores should be enrolled in the chess.com Hall Of Fame - likewise those knocking such distinguished posters should be enrolled in the Hall Of Flame.
