Which way do you face your knights

Always faced them forward since I was a kid. Never considered facing them another way until reading this post. I guess we do what we know...However, the next game I play, I'm facing them directly at the opponents King throughout the match!
My knights face away from the monarchs for protection, to keep vigilant watch. The bishops face the monarchs to provide consult to the king and queen. I've always had an active imagination, so I like to think of the knights as guards looking over the castle walls(the rooks). The king and queen are praying with the bishops within the walls and preparing for the inevitable battle.
