I'm a chess nerd and proud of it. I already have a chess t-shirt from the Kasparov vs. The World game played online in the MSN Gaming Zone back in 1999.

did anyone think that placing a post on this would get you points. also i suppose you don't want to start bribing people. people should contribute to forums not just to get a t-shirt but to say what they want to say and what they want other people to read.

Well... I suppose we should post not just for the sake of posting where the meaning is gone, but more of to share our chess experiences with our fellow enthusiasts! =)

Ah now that's a very good idea, I think shadowc has something there, but saying "the first member to get there" will simply prompt some spammy-spammer spamheads to unleash their swords of misery! Maybe any member over their time at Chess.com  who accumulates 5000 points?

hey, a t shirt is good enough for me, maybe the chess set would mean more if the first one to 5000pts or seomthing would get one!

Hi Erick, the real question is, how do you calculate theses points, using what formula?

I have seen, that I won 60 points by beat a game, but after a week, i saw that my opponent play some more games, and just won 24 or 251 in other game. Why?

What is the exact metrics to know how much points i will earn if I win the current game?

 Thanks.

It is not just used to get free stuff, it is also used to measure the site activity of each member.
