leaving game on alternate moves

As a new member I have a problem understanding why my opponent makes his move, I reply, he ends chat only to return with his reply,am I missing some way of obtaining assistance?

You are missing explaining exactly what the problem is.

Are you bothered that he doesnt want to chat ?

What assistance do you need ?

What I am trying to say, in a polite way, was my opponent making his move then leave chat consult with a third party (human or computer). Return after getting advice and play his reply. This sequence continued for the rest of the game,incidentally I did lose.

I had in a previous game defeated him without any 'leaving chat'. We played a second game at his request and this was the game I reffered to above.

If they are doing on purpose to manipulate the clocks, then they are failing because the clock still runs while they are disconnected.
