Really? I'm not sure that signal is coming through the noise. Most of the thread seems to be how to use the "Print Screen" button and what graphics program is good.

Now that the discussion is jumbled up, it's a little harder to guess what was in the original poster's mind when aabbccdd asked: "How do you guys get those screenshots- i'm curious." These discussions branch out a little, as is the norm. Rael's instructions, though (plus TheGrobe's), included the use of the INSERT PICTURE button - the only time I have seen it adequately explained. A necessary part of that explanation has to include how to do a screen capture, and how to edit and crop the image, including use of alternative editors.
The same questions tend to get asked again and again in the forums. Where a clear and informative answer has been created, it is wasteful to throw it away needlessly. I have argued before - that individual posts (not merely whole topics or pages of posts) should be indexable. Also, that it would enhance the site help if clearly written answers provided by the community could be incorporated into it.
