I tried entering h1 a8 for all of them, and I also got a 1000.
There's an even better elo estimator out there.
You go to rated OTB tournaments and play chess. Then they'll give you a pretty good estimate.
& yeah, otb rated tournaments will give you a good estimate. There's no point in these test positions when you can get a real rating by just playing in real tournaments.

That was fun! However, it would be nice if we got more feedback after the test (other than the rating).
Just spent about 15 minutes on it and got 1735... Miles higher than my chess.com rating, so doubt it's very valid
