please watch this match.. I did not understand why this happens..

Scottrf

Black ran out of time, and you can't win if you don't have enough material to checkmate, which white doesn't. Draw.

but my opponent have more than enough material to mate..then this should not be a draw..

Nytik

Yeah, but black ran out of time so he can't win. He would lose on time, but since you have no material you could possibly mate him with it's a draw instead.

OK dude, you keep thinking that...

Maybe this helps you to understand:

If a player runs out of time, then the worst moves for that player will be played, ultimately resulting into either a defeat for that player or a draw.

Looking at the current position, there is no way for you to checkmate your opponent (since you only have a king left). However, if you still had a pawn, you would have won, simply because blacks plays the worst moves, i.e. plays the moves in which he will lose.

thanks secretofmana, scottrf and nytic.. I think I understand the problem..

Awwwh! It's so simple.. Marcelnaive (Black) haven't more time for any move.. and you haven't any sufficient material for win.. so It's Draw...Am i right?CoolSmile
