There is a bug on the app where if you click the king followed by either rook it will castle. This is extremely frustrating if you are thinking about playing 0-0-0, but then decide you want to put the rook on d1 instead (if you are white), to perhaps castle short later. Castle should only be played if you move your king to one of the castling squares (two to the right or two to the left). Clicking the king followed by the rook should deselect the king and select the rook.
