Lol there's nothing wrong with conditional moves but I see where you're coming from. Sometimes I also feel somewhat pissed when people use long strings of conditional moves on me, especially if I'm in a defending position. I don't know the reason but it is like he is saying "no matter how much thought you've put into your harmless move I already knew you'd make it and I only need 0.285 seconds to address it. You make me sick."
CONDITIONAL MOVE LIKE A SIMULATION GAME

The thing with conditional moves is that the opposite playes found a line and decides to follow it no matter what. This means he might have overlooked some posibilities. This also might mean that he might be more impulsive. Unless it's a really forced line, think about each of your moves carefully and each of your opponents moves even more carefully. It's your job to find the mistakes he makes in his moves, it's your job to take your time and find a resource that disproves his chosen line. I guarantee you there will be mistakes.

conditional move is a legal psychological trick in CC to make you feel depressed - you must combat that, and try to set up your conditional moves in return.

Conditional moves are just a time saving feature.
Actually, every player uses them (at least subconciously, if not in fact)
When you make a move where your opponent's move is virtually forced, eg a capture, and you know what you want to play after his forced move, what's the point of waiting? It just makes the game flow better.
Heal: Conditional moves :)

I agree with rooperi, every player has and uses conditional moves.. at least on a subconcious level. Using them on chess.com makes it more official, and it does speed up the games a little. I use them a lot!
However, when I first faced an opponent that played conditional moves and .238 seconds after my move she returned hers I immediatly (and incorrectly)felt oblidged to respond quickly as well.. thus leading to mistakes. I have now leanrt and trained myself to control my response and analyse the board fully before making my move.. if they have predicted that too then hey ho, good for them, but I know that it was still the move that I would have played anyway.

I strongly object to conditional moves. Not only do they NOT speed up games, they take away player autonomy (the whole point of chess in my view) and make me feel like I am playing a robot. I have been playing a game where a conditional move was forced on my opponent, where he had other options, in my view BETTER options. Now there is no way to undo the conditional move. I have never heard of such utter rubbish.

A conditional move is not forced on your opponent, it happens when a condition is met. Have you even tried looking at what it does? It is NOT the same as a premove in live chess, which is what you seem to be thinking.
im in the 10th chess.com tournament now,and i encounter a player that used a conditional move that leaves a bad feelings to me and lost my eagernest to win the tournament.its feels like im playing the 10th stages of chess titans in vista, like im playing a computer or a simulation games ,why it is allowed to the tournament ,theres is no trill ,thats why everyday i log in to chess.com to play like a real players .
