A New Swiss Tournament At Long Time Control
Greetings everyone!
We're back with our Live, SWISS Pairing at longer Time Control Tourneys. However, we must change a couple of things so that it's easier for the organizer and for the players as well. First, let's see the technical specifications of the tournament. Then I shall discuss those changes.
Tournament Specifications
- # Of Rounds: 5
- Time Control: 45m + 45s
- Pairing Type: SWISS
- Tournament Schedule: One Game Every 2 Weeks. The Players Must Agree On A Mutual/Suitable Day/Time For Their Game.
- Starting: January 20 @ 00:00 UTC = January 19 @ 19:00 US ET.
What we change
1. Agreeing about when to play
From now on, I am not going to monitor anything. The players will agree about when to play without any intervention by me. I will not create any Forum of Discussion for the players to use. The players will have to send each other private messages in order to discuss about their game. I will come back here with some Guidelines to help you have a deal quick with your partner of play. No obligation though. Only General Guidelines.
Also, feel free to make me aware of any difficulty when discussing with the other player. I may also help in case the players live far from each other, but only in exceptionnal circumstances.
2. Some Help
Each participant will have to post their pre-availability and Time Zone here for Long LIVE Games . Then I will transfer your data to Outpost in alphabetical order. Thus, each participant will have access to their opponent's pre-availability and Time Zone before any discussion is engaged.
3. No Tournament Club Created.
All the informations regarding the tournament will be available in this Club.
