Chess 411: Custom Opening Repertoire for Experts and Tournament Players
Instructor: GM Roman Dzindzichashvili
Schedule: Chess 411 has 4 live sessions. Each session is 1 hour long and will be taught on a Sunday.
Tentatively, the class will start on September 8th. There will be one session every Sunday meaning the class will end on September 29th.
Most classes will start at 12:30 PM PDT.
Level: This seminar is aimed at advanced players. If you are a competitive tournament player, an expert wanting to master chess or a CM/NM wanting to become an even stronger chess player, this course is for you!
Format: There are 4 1-hour live lessons, homework assignments every week, and email support from Roman Dzindzichashvili.
Course Description:
Would you like to start building a world-class opening repertoire? If so, you are reading the right announcement as the world's leading opening theoretician is here to guide you! In this course, Roman will help you build a solid opening repertoire.Roman will start by teaching key positions and openings every player needs to know and then cover a variety of openings for both tactical and positional players. Roman will also teach how to build a strong repertoire and then, through email contact, send customized opening notes to students.
Students will be assigned homework each week and have the chance to submit their solutions to Roman in order to get feedback. Homework includes, but is not limited to, analyzing positions, finding the right plans and ideas of certain positions, studying certain variations in-depth and even doing your own research. Besides covering the core openings, Roman will offer advice creating a repertoire suitable for yourself. There will be a set of openings recommended for players who prefer tactical positions and there will be a different set of openings for those who prefer quiet, positional middlegames.
In summary, in this course, you will learn key openings and positions required to improve your understanding of chess, get Roman Dzindzichashvili's suggestions on which openings YOU should play, and receive notes regarding the openings you want to have in your repertoire.
Target Class Size: 20 to 40 students.
Tuition: $90/person.

Registration is not open yet. Registration will open after at least 15 students commit to taking this class. It is a hassle to accept payments and then refund everybody if we don't have enough students who are interested in the course.
