The Bulldog Manifesto #2: All Is Number!
Hello everyone, this is @HolographWars making this next long-awaited Bulldog Manifesto! Writing this will be fun, since there is tons of news flying around each day!
This report is no less extreme than the last one!
1. The Records Get More Ultimate
@Martin0 is now the first person to breach 1600! He had defeated @HorribleTomato in a Bulldog Semi-Final, gaining more points. Also, @rychessmaster1 was giving me the impression that he was undefeatable and that he would intercept @Martin0's line. After all, he was able to get past 1500 and is the best rookie on record, picking up another win recently. He is totally knocking off all his players-except for a surprising opponent: @evert823. That brings us to another record-the most points gained in a single game! @evert823 stole a shocking 83 points from @rychessmaster1!!! Later, I will list the ratings in more detail.
2. The Curse of Timeouts
The number of timeouts is definitely shown this past month. In May, the number of games ending in timeouts were 40%. Timeouts are ravaging the Big-Dog Tournament, with all but one game ending in timeout. To help, @Martin0 has recently added 4 days of vacation time, but it seems to be relatively ineffective because players simply are not announcing vacation days! When @HolographWars played against @Yo-thats-fresh, @Yo-thats-fresh announced vacation time. But he still did not show up after using three regular days, four vacation days, and then a twenty-four hour warning. @HolographWars claimed a ridiculous win after one complete move!
3. More Scoring in the Tournament
More people have now claimed time wins, making this a turbulent time for news reporters. Recently, @rychessmaster1 has claimed another victory, adding to his quiver of wins. Also, @unc07 has also won, but unfortunately, on time as well. Still, @HolographWars vs @evert823 has been the only "real" defeat. As of now, @SuperSam1 is winning against @hitthepin, and @ScootaChess is winning against @aidanB1. Can we crown a new rookie?
This tournament is already stacking up. @HolographWars vs @thegreatauk is game! @HolographWars has lost a pawn already, and that is why he "hates the witch" and can "resign here against a CM". But the game is still going, at least for the forseeable future.
4. Statistics, in depth!
The rankings now are highly unstable, to say the least. @HolographWars is a relatively new entry into the top ten. Martin0 has increased his rating to 1610. @rychessmaster1 is the second player on record to make it into the 1500s! However, his victory was short lived. Suddenly, @evert823 knocked him out, making a huge upset! @evert823 increased a stunning 83 points and got a place in the top ten. Unfortunately for @rychessmaster1, his progress during the last month was all undone! Not to mention, @thegreatauk is on a steep climb. The ratings graph is much more fun to look at then just a few months ago!
