Checkmates In Chess You Must Know
Hello everyone! Welcome to my new blog!
Here I will explain some checkmates in chess that all of you must know. We also have a some puzzles at the end for you to try!
Checkmate #1. Fool's Mate
In chess, Fool's Mate, also known as the "two-move checkmate", is the checkmate delivered after the fewest possible moves from the game's starting position. Fool's Mate received its name because it can only occur if White commits an extraordinary blunder. Even among beginners, this checkmate rarely occurs in practice.

Checkmate #2. Scholar's Mate
This occurs when a White's Queen is supported by White's Bishop and these 2 pieces work together to checkmate the Black King.
Here is what it looks like:
But the Scholar's Mate is nothing to be afraid of in your games! Here is a VERY simple way to stop this checkmate:
After that, White has wasted some time moving around the Queen, that's why this mate is a risky option since you might lose some precious time trying to mate the opponent's King, but sometimes, it works! But only on very new players.
Thank you for reading my blog! In the future, I will edit this to put more checkmates in chess!
