Daily Calculation exercises - Day 12 | 3.Bd3 against the French defense

I made 5 exercises from the game against Donat Daroczi, which we played in the 3rd round of the International Master Tournament in Budapest.

I missed this countermove at the end of a 6 moves long combination where I sacrificed a rook. What was the critical move?

How should white reach to the queen exchange offer?
Black just defended the c7 bishop. What should white do?
Looked like there is no more chance for a victory, I still found a way to challenge black:
Until the very end black had a chance for the draw. This was his last one:

I wish you enjoyed the exercises. Please use the patterns in your games!

I played 1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5. 3.Bd3 the Schlechter variation of the French defense.
I used this course to prepare for the game: The Tricky Schlechter Variation against the French Defense
I got a small edge out of the opening when he offered the exchange of the queens on b6. I was happy to capture it and create weak pawns. After a long maneuvering middlegame I made a rook sacrifice which gave away my big advantage and got an interesting material imbalance: pair of bishops and pawn for the bishop and rook.
Another long battle and shuffling and I was able to make a pawn break and go to an endgame with an extra pawn. He defended well until the end:
