Daily Calculation Exercises - Day 19 | Rossolimo variation in the Sicilian Defense
I created 10 exercises from the game I played yesterday in the Hungarian Superleague against the young Hungarian Talent Endre Csiki, who just made an International Master norm the day before the game.
I analyzed a few variation where white has a mating attacks:

I blundered this countermove:

I played him 2.5 years ago when I got a winning advantage, went to the bathroom and he made an illegal move which saved him the game. Neither of us did not recognized the move was illegal. I think it was a long queen move.
This time I decided to be more aware if there will be time trouble.
He played the Rossolimo variation of the Sicilian defense. We followed theory in the first 15 moves and there I allowed him to weaken my pawn structure. We got opposite colored bishops with rooks and queens and his bishop was much better. He used a lot of time and started to make weaker moves and I was fighting for the activity. He had less than 1 minutes and I thought he missed a simple tactics which won the queen, but looks like I missed the tactics how he could win back the queen and the position simplified to a draw:
