Daily Calculation Exercises - Day 24 | Anti-Sicilian Attack

Daily Calculation Exercises - Day 24 | Anti-Sicilian Attack

I created 7 exercises from the game which I played against the 12 years old Woman Candidate Master Saadat Bashirli from Azerbaijan in the Titled Tuesday Tournament.

The final move of the game:

How can white win?

How can white fight for the initiative?

How can black have counterplay?

How can white win material?

Black looks active, but white can turn the table. How?

Black just played Ng4, how should white react?

I use and recommend these courses. Please check them. They may help you to go to the next level in your chess.

Against her 2..g6 I tried 3.d4 cd4 4.Qxd4 idea in the Anti-Sicilian Attack.

I got the inspiration from one of my students who plays this, plus I looked some games from World Champion Magnus Carlsen.

This is a nice example:

Qe3 move provocated Ng4, which was a loss of time for her. She continued the original attack with Qb6, which moved into Nd5 move. I missed that, but set up a trap for the knight. I played f3 and after Ne3 the knight was trapped and my kingside attacks won the game:

I used this course to prepare for the game: Anti-Sicilian with 2.Nc3 g6
