A FIDE-master played the english opening against me. I got an advantage, because I got active knight and a strong g7 bishop. The penetration of a knight won the game.

How can black keep the initiative?

How should the king move?
White attacks the a8 rook. How should black react?
How can black get an advantage?
White played a3. How should black react?

Mating Matador: Mastering mating patterns is the next step to get better at tactics and become a dangerous attacker. It often bridges the gap between a strong attack against the opponent's King and victory. So once you become better at sniffing checkmates, your attacking skills naturally improve.
