A few days ago I got a chess.com message from the founder of Aimchess. He asked me if I am interested about my chess.com statistics and sharing my experience about his website.
I am always happy to explore new things and I am specially open now, because I would like to use all possible tools to improve my chess to reach the Grandmaster Title and to help my students to reach their dreams!
So I went to the website https://aimchess.com/recap2020/ Where I typed my chess.com username and clicked on Get report.
The site is beautifully designed. the colors are nice and the graphics are clear and everything looks logical.
So What is the key knowledge I got from the 2020 recap report?
I did not think I played that much! I played several Titled Tuesdays. Then I remembered I played many games with viewers on my stream at https://www.twitch.tv/attilaturzo and played also with students.
Looks like I concentrated on blitz, but also a fair amount of rapid games. I played only 4 bullet games! Wow, maybe this is the reason I was losing a lot in the last minute of my blitz games.
Possible I need to add playing more bullet games to my goals.
I spent 109 hours and 44 minutes playing, which is around an average of 20 minutes a day. If I want to improve more, then probably I need to play an average of 1 hour daily in the future.
I played 25008 moves and after the pawns, my knight moved the most. First that was a little surprise for me, but knights are slower, than bishops, so they need more moves in the games.
Also I played openings like the Slav defense where many times I give up a bishop for a knight in the beginning, so possible I have more knight in my games, than bishops.
This gave me the idea to value the bishop pair more and maybe play openings where I can get them.
I played the most games in a day on 29 September, possible on a long stream I played with viewers at https://www.twitch.tv/attilaturzo
123 games played in September, that time I started to be more active after the summer holidays.
The Aimchess 2020 Recap showed which game was one of my quickest victory. I played it in one of the streams

One of his nice victories against me:
I played 1.e4 in many games and the open sicilian. I am working on refining my white repertoire and I think 1.e4 will have an important part in it.
I started to experiencing with the najdorf variation of the Sicilian defense and realized I need to dig deeper to be able to play it against the op players.
I am pretty happy with my win rate, but possible it is very much affected by my victories on the streams at https://www.twitch.tv/attilaturzo when I played with much lower rated players, so to have a clearer view, maybe I need to make a special account for the streams.
Most of the time I castle kingside, but I like to castle queenside in the open Sicilians and start a pawn storm against the opponent's king.
Little surprise how effective I was without castling. Possible some of the London system victories helped.
This is very unusual. I usually play uncompromising chess and lose time to time also in the streams, but possible it was a bright day for me when I won 25 games in a row!
My short term goal: I would like to reach at least 2500 in blitz in 2020 in the next 3 weeks.
Goals for 2021:
I would like to reach 2900 in blitz.
Dedicate daily at least 1 hours for calculation training.
Review and create an opening repertoire which I enjoy to play.
I enjoyed to review my 2020 on chess.com by the Aimchess 2020 recap
